So, I just found out that people have been taking my artwork, and reposting it without my permission and without crediting me. It started out innocently...Someone found one of my drawings (the picture of little Amelia Pond) on my tumblr, and shared it on Pinterest. Which is ok. They linked it to the original sorce and everything. But afterwards, someone else took it, CUT OUT MY SIGNATURE, and posted it on their Instagram. And then someone else reposted it from them, CREDITING THEM FOR THE PICTURE. I wouldn't have know if it hadn't been for one of my followers alerting me. I talked to the people, explaning that when you take someones work without permission, cut out their signature, and post it elsewhere without crediting them, that count as art theft. They both apologized, and promised to credit me (although they haven't yet).
HERE IS THE IMPORTANT BIT. IF YOU WANT TO REPOST MY ART ELSEWHERE, PLEASE ASK ME FIRST AND CREDIT ME!!! I know that most people wouldn't do that, but I just want to be cautious. I work really hard on my art, and it makes me mad when other people get credit for something I created.
